The concept is good, but every product I have scanned is wrong, yet it says "verified by the manufacturer". I find it odd that a manufacturer would verify a list of ingredients that is incorrect.

Im new to true veganism so this is an amazing tool! Im overjoyed to have it!

Never gets the correct code

You dont have to be vegan or vegetarian to use, and appreciate this app. *No more tiny unreadable mouse print * It will help you to be able to read - and better understand - what ingredients are in the food you buy no matter what your diet is. Reading and being better informed of what is in that so-called food - will help some people make better choices.

For starters, why would anyone pay $4 for an app with ads? Makes no sense to me! Anyways, my main issue is the fact that it is not a very reliable app. It works when it wants to and most times, when I attempt to scan a barcode, it will immediately give me a message saying "item not found" no matter what I do. I guess they have a "plus" app that had no ads for a dollar more, but imho its not worth the hassle if the app is hit and miss. Purchase at your own risk.

Works great, makes watching labels so, so much easier. Even if you arent vegan this is a great tool for keeping an eye on what is in your food. So far I have only come across a handful if items that are not in the database, and it seems to be expanding because I hardly ever get a "no results found" anymore. Thanks!

Looking at the version history, this app hasnt been updated in over a year, and it really needs an update.

A must-have for every vegan, vegetarian, or anyone trying to eat more plant-based.

Nice idea but could not get it to work. Able to scan one upc, but not recognized. Offered to add to database by touching the "+" button, which does not display. Second attempt at scan could not be completed. Deleted ap.

Not perfect, I guess, but still can help you sometimes. Most of cases it can solve can be solved by yourself, but there are different foods that it cannot identify as vegan or not.

Im slowly entering the vegan lifestyle so Ive been doing a lot of studying and label reading. This app is exactly what I need but it doesnt work! When I try to scan my items it tells me error that theres a connection problem and when I type in the bar code manually its not in the system and wont let me add it. Please fix this.

Am I the only one who cannot get this app to see barcodes? It just sits there and I try to move the package around at different angles and it doesnt work. Today I got it to recognize a barcode but then it said it couldnt find it in the database and it was an Amys product!!! Help! Please fix these bugs! Thanks!

Very useful tool when grocery shopping. Looks like it could use a makeover or at least an update. The scan feature doesnt always work. It will scan and display incorrect UPC code.

Every single item that I scanned in my house, known vegan items, all came up as unknown. I even scanned organic navel oranges, and it still came up as "not sure". It seems as though this app refuses to acknowledge anything, or much of anything.

I despise this app. Ive used it at least 20 times and it has only recognized an item once. And these were just your average everyday items. Nothing odd or fancy. This app is a waste of time.

Out of the twenty items I scanned (all regular items) only one or two actually worked. Maybe the $4 version actually works.

This app is wonderful and easy to use. I no longer have to stress whether or not I know an ingredient is vegan. I can just scan the barcode! Definitely a vegan/vegetarian must have

this has been SO helpful! Im new to veganism and this has helped tremendously! I was trying to find a way around looking over labels constantly and this is the way to go! so happy with this app.

This app is horrible!!! I have had it well over a year. I stopped using it a year ago because every product I scanned (and I mean EVERY!!!) came up as unknown. I kept the app around in hopes that eventually it would improve but this last month; after using it even more, the same happened..."product unknown" there has been ZERO improvement in its database. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Trash app!!! Create your own app that actually scans food (unlike is it vegan) and youll come up!
